• Connecting volunteers with the needs of local agencies
• Promoting best practices in volunteer management
• Communicating opportunities for professional training and workshops related to volunteer management
• Encouraging volunteer recognition
• Consulting with agencies interested in creating new volunteer programs or enhancing existing programs
• Providing materials and trainings to continue the necessary task of emergency preparedness planning in local agencies
