How Can Volunteer Maryland Strengthen Your Nonprofit?

Want to learn how a one-year partnership with Volunteer Maryland can strengthen your organization? Is your nonprofit or government agency looking for a new, energetic and passionate team member to help progress your mission? Volunteer Maryland is pleased to offer you two programs that are designed to do just that; the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator and VISTA program, respectively.

The Volunteer Maryland Coordinator program trains its members in the best practices of volunteer coordination and management. The members serve a ten month term of service with AmeriCorps, either creating or helping to revise a pre-existing volunteer program.

“The Volunteer Maryland Coordinator has built this program from nothing in approximately 7 months.  It has been nothing short of amazing!  We have been highly impressed with the quality of the program and the volunteers involved in it.”  — Carolyn Thompson, American Red Cross of Central Maryland

The VISTA program is designed to assist organizations or agencies whose mission is to help eradicate poverty. The members serve a one year term of service and can perform a number of duties. Volunteer Maryland VISTA members can help organizations with fundraising, marketing and technology, or evaluation.

“This has been an incredibly good investment for the Baltimore Urban Debate League.  Our organization’s volunteer program has become well defined and extremely well managed.  Thank you for your great program.”  — Pam Spiliadis, Baltimore Urban Debate League
