Volunteer. Get a free ticket to Disney.

by Mickey Gomez on December 30, 2009

Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.

Starting on January 1, 2010, Disney (in partnership with the HandsOn Network) will begin distributing free one-day passes to eligible volunteers.  That’s right – FREE.

How does this work?

It’s pretty simple.  If you’re interested in the program, you can search and sign-up via Disney’s website.  Once you find an opportunity, volunteer, and your service is verified, you receive a voucher to redeem for your Disney theme park ticket.

Do you represent a nonprofit or governmental agency interested in having your volunteer opportunities listed as part of this program?  More information is available here. What a great way to recognize your current volunteers while attracting new ones!

Hope to see you at Disney!

My husband and I have signed up twice for the give a day get a disney day and have not heard back from either site (Penguin Pace 5 K february 1 and Howard County Library February 26).
I did receive an email thanking me for my interest and letting me know I would receive an email within 5 days from the organization.
I am currently a volunteer in Howard county, Maryland ( meals on wheels – 7 years, Howard County Library – 7 years, Neighbor Ride – just started).
If possible I would like to participate in the give a day get a disney day.

Thank you, JoAnne Elms

Dear JoAnne,

Please feel free to contact me directly – I’d be happy to discuss the program further with you. I can be reached at 410.715.3176 or mickey@volunteerhoward.org. Alternately you can contact Disney directly via the Give a Day Get a Day website.

Thanks for letting us know and I hope that we’re able to help you navigate the process.

Yours in service,
Mickey
